At BDAF, we are committed to breaking cycles and building futures. Founded by Jamison Charles—an author, actor, minister, and advocate who served 27 years of a 50-year sentence—our mission is rooted in the belief that redemption is possible and every story matters. We empower individuals returning home from incarceration through reentry programs, storytelling initiatives, and meaningful community partnerships. With nearly 2 million people incarcerated in America and over 600,000 returning citizens released each year, our work addresses one of the most pressing issues of our time.
